DAMIR DOMA AFTER PARTY AT THE PARIS FASHION WEEK

A resident of the West Midlands, England, Stephen Wilkinson developed a passion for experimental music during his time at Middlesex University in London, where he studied "sonic arts", he is the man behind Bibio. We have been playing his 2 albums in the store almost every day for two weeks now. The name of the albums are "Fi" and "Hand called". Here are 3 clips from him on youtube. I hope you will like it!.

MACKINTOSH

History

Last season we started with the fantastic coats from Mackintosh. Mackintosh is a brand of modern herritage built on true craftmanship and a two hundred year history. In 1823, Charles Macintosh developed the process of spreading rubber onto cotton to create the world first formal waterproof fabric, signaling the arrival of the original Macintosh coat.

Craftmanship

Today, Mackintosh is a firmly established global brand that combines updated technology with traditional techniques to create the modern-day "mac". Based in Cumbernauld, Scotland, every expert coat maker undertakes a three-year apprenticeship to ensure that they can construct outerwear to Mackintosh´s unique specifactions. You will see the coat at the webstore in 2
weeks and just to remember you, last years coats was running out of the store really fast so if you are interested be sure to make a reservation. we will have it in black, navy, and beige all with detachable wool lining.

Lovisa Burfitt

The colleciton from Burfitt AW/09 is here and it looks really nice. The collection brings a really masculine, dark and strict look but still with a touch of the typical details that Burfitt always come up with. Here are some pictures from the lookbook that shows the feeling I´m talking about.

Born in Croatia, Damir Doma grew up in Germany and studied in Munich and Berlin. He worked in Antwerp for Raf Simons and Dirk Schoenberger. This is the press Release for A/W 2009/2010

"In a balanced calm of tension and easy flow, with a perspective of birth into the unknown, Doma pursues his exploration with seemingly bare shapes, focusing upon the architecture of volumes as if to return to the spines of his constructions. Streaming drapings, twisted folds and floating structures in wet blacks, earth greys or dirty creams alternate between light and dark.
Doma's nomads could be visiting from elsewhere, on the dawn of an epic crossing, either into future times or antique steppes. The sleek lines and simple shells of the clothes are underpinned by lightly constructed loops, and as boundaries and edges are blended, a feeling of continuity and endless wandering is evoked in the silhouettes, with pieces folded, held or knotted in only one of possibilities.
Beneath slopes and curved layers, the pure surfaces are held by the bones of Doma's vision. The eye rests on pristine shades and structures, finding invisible hands shaping matters into nonchalant grace. There is a quiet peace in Doma's distant spaces and solitude, when he hides tiny gates to infinity in his works. Just as desert dune landscapes can reveal an arid undulating sensuality, or the icy austerity of snowcapped peaks may beguile with gently glittering skins, it is tempting to get lost for an instant in Doma's quest, on a path seeking majesty."

The delivery from Julian Red AW/09 collection just dropped in the store today. We also recived their new second line Julian Julian Julian which is really nice and a little cheaper then mainline. You will find it online in a couple of days.

OUR LEGACY

The collection from Our legacy came today. There are some really nice pieces in this collection . One of my absolute favourites is this blazer which is made in a really nice Wool/nylon/angora/silk material in a warm and soft beige tone.
